Our story

Hi! I’m Victoria Wong, founder and president of CAAHF Youth.

Growing up, I was fortunate to be surrounded by Chinese language, traditions, and cultural celebrations that taught me to take pride in my heritage. However, as I grew older, I noticed that many young people felt disconnected from their cultural roots or pressured to hide parts of themselves in order to fit in. The rise in anti-Asian sentiment during the COVID pandemic further underscored the importance of representation, understanding, and belonging. Witnessing these experiences, and experiencing some of them myself, made me realize the need for spaces where young people can embrace who they are with confidence and pride.

This realization led me to found CAAHF Youth, a youth-led initiative under the Celebration of Asian American Heritage Foundation that brings Asian American culture to life through immersive events, cultural showcases, and service opportunities.
